Brief Guide to the Participating Hotels AbroadJAL-HAP/TIP Programs
It is our great pleasure to have an opportunity to introduce our unique Japanese Lady Hotel Assistant/Internship Programs (Tourism&Hotel Internship Program = TIP) or "JAL-HAP/TIP" for short. The proposed program is designed for two major objectives stated here-under.

(1) What is the JAL-HAP/TIP like? @It is .....
To function as a Japanese Lady Hotel Assistant & OJT-Trainee to upgrade the hotel services toward the Japanes
a) Front Office (General front office work)
b) Guest Relations/Concierge (Mainly function as a GRO for the Japanese guests)
c) Sales & Marketing Assistant (Promotional activities focussing on the local and overseas Japanese prospective clients.)
d) Training Section (Teaching & Introduction of the basic Japanese communications and traditional culture/manners)

(2) Mission as a Civil Ambassadress to promote Cross Cultural Exchange Activities
Every participant lady will seek for broad cross-cultural exchange opportunities through introduction/teaching of the Japanese culture and its language to the staff employees of a host/hotel as a part of CA's training activities.
In exchange, the CA's will be also expected to learn various cultural aspects of the country to deepen their understanding over them which will develop their further interest and friendship in future. This will be done through the daily hotel job assignments activities under the various circumstances.
The programs in the above (1) and (2) should be basically considered as the ones designed on the GIVE-AND-TAKE basis concept.
The JAL-HAP/TIP participant is generally called as a
"Civil Ambassadress" or a "CA". The CA's come from all walks of life, and are usually from various field of trades.

Some are the graduates of colleges or universities, the other from the hotel or travel industries, and the others may be from ordinary companies and ffices with reasonable business backgrounds and customer-related skills.

The prospective CA's who are nominated as CA on this program are considered as adequate and efficient in their general aptitude, skills and personality.

The CA's will have, in general, varying degrees of skills in the reasonable English communication skills. Every prospective CA is selected through versatile examinations and extensive interviews before their enrolment in the program. Some part of the tests (in English) will be sent to you for your reference before placing a CA at your hotel.
Basic Guidelines & Profile of a CA candidate
(1) Age/Sex 19-42 years old/ Single or independant ladies.
(2) Period : 5- 12 months (Extension as a staff employee is possible upon agreement)
(3) Commencement Upon mutual discussions and agreement
(4) Number of CA Basically, one CA at each placement (maximum numbers is up to two CA's)
(5) Basic Conditions As per the BASIC TERMS & CONDITIONS (BTC)
@The CA's pay their own round air-fares and health insurance required for their program at your hotel/office.
@CA's are basically UNPAID only except the case some amount of pocket money (US$50-150/month) as a gratitude for a CA's volunteer services and assis- tance

The CA's should be also encouraged to learn various hotel service skills and basic knowledge on the hotel business through the O.J.T. activities while furthering their understandings over the culture, life-style and the people of the country.
Prior to the placement of a CA or your registration for the proposed JAL-HAP/TIP programs, you are kindly requested to check on each of the following articles.
(1) To find and supervise a suitable independent full-board accommodation of a single hotel room or a shared room elsewhere like a hotel-staff house, a flat/apartment or other nearby your hotel.
(2) To observe the TIP BASIC TERMS & CONDITIONS and provid related job assignments.  Please read through them shown in the specimen on this site.
(3) To contact the local immigration office for an appropriate visa applicable for the TIP CA if you have not had the similar at your hotel so far yet, if necessary.
(4) To provide adequate job assignments as specified in the BASIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
The JAL-HAP/TIP Program is currently participated by around 420 star-rated hotels in the almost all Asian countries (China, Hong Kong, Macao, Phillippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia) and other countries in Europe such as UK, Belgium and Germany.

In addition, Middle East (Turkey, UAE, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Quatar), North American continent (Canada and Mexico), Maldives, Fiji (Shangri-La's Fijian Resorts) are the constant participant countries as of Dec 2008.

The principal participating host-hotels in above countries are; Hyatt, Hilton, Sheraton, Holiday Inn (Crown Plaza Hotels) Melia/Sol, Mandarin, Westin, Marriot, Kenpinski, Forte, Radison, Continental Hotel & Resorts, Century, Peninsula, Pelangi, Pan-Pacific Hotels, Ritz CArlton Bali, Lisboa, Blue-Band Hotels.

Most of them are the renowned prestige leading international hotels in the most favoured world popular resorts and cities.
